A GLOBAL MOVEMENT TO END EXPLOITATION
As of 2020, there were approximately 40 million victims of Human Exploitation worldwide. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, that number rose significantly. Immigrants, women, and children are the most vulnerable and targeted.
To drive awareness, engagement, and resources to combat and prevent exploitation, we partnered with the YWCA to conceptualize, develop & produce a six-day, virtual film and arts summit.
We brought together 1000's of award-winning artists, filmmakers, musicians, survivors, celebrities, nonprofits, politicians, and citizens; to prevent and end modern-day slavery.
As we produced See it. End it. during the peak of COVID lockdowns, we developed a virtual production strategy to record dozens of interviews, keynotes, panels, performances + creator & survivor spotlights remotely. We then edited each into dynamic run-of-shows that also included over 25 short and feature films to immerse audiences in gripping and thought-provoking narratives and discussions to heighten empathy and engagement.

See it. End it. was distributed the event on a custom platform we co-created with Countable, to host the virtual event, build community and connect attendees with featured organizations and dynamic calls-to-action, motivating them to act.

PRODUCING A VIRTUAL EVENT DURING COVID
See it. End it. featured dozens of presenters; trafficking survivors, non-profit leaders, filmmakers, law enforcement agents, government officials, and citizens.

Due to COVID, we collaborated with each presenter remotely, recording their segments from their homes or offices. We used Zoom, Smartphones with o-ring lights, or we sent remote camera crews to record directly.

Our theme for See it. End it. was to shine a light on a dark situation. To ensure continuity in messaging we developed speaking points and scripts for presenters and directed each recording, guiding presenters.
CREATING A DYNAMIC RUN-OF-SHOW
See it. End it. covered many important topics; Global exploitation, vulnerabilities of children online, labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and child exploitation.

Given the sheer magnitude, we themed each day around a topic, creating dynamic run-of-shows to support each.

Using broadcast techniques, we intermixed each day with films, musical and art performances, panels, keynotes, not-for-profit and corporate spotlights, and inspiring stories from survivors, to both educate and motivate action.
LICENSING 25 FEATURE & SHORT FILMS
Looking to the film community, we sourced and licensed 25 feature and short films, created by award-winning filmmakers from around the world.
Films are a powerful tool to heighten perspectives and transparency into the mostly unknown world of explication globally.

We intermixed the films throughout each day of the summit, allowing attendees to experience exploitation from all vantage points, building empathy and motivating action.
BUILDING A PLATFORM TO DRIVE ACTION
See it. End it.'s mission is to seed the growth of an inclusive global community, that together, prevents & ends human trafficking around the world.

To drive this mission forward, we partnered with Countable, to build See it. End it. on a powerful interactive virtual platform, utilizing inspirational content to drive action.

Beyond live streaming the event, we created features that built community & activism as well as mobilized attendees to sign petitions, support NGOs, make donations, engage with volunteer opportunities, and contact local, federal, provincial/state representatives, and/or law enforcement.
CREATING CUSTOM GRAPHICS & CALLS-TO-ACTION
To drive engagement, we created powerful graphics to support the pace, energy, messaging, and calls-to-actions of the evenings.

We enabled a broadcast feeling, delivering an energetic pace that kept attendees entertained and engaged throughout.
We also used the graphics to reinforce powerful messages, share sneak peeks into the evening and present unique calls-to-action
